The Los Alamos Volunteer Association partners with local non-profit agencies, matching senior volunteers with volunteer opportunities within these organizations. Every year the Los Alamos Volunteer Association Volunteers give more than 75,000 hours of volunteer service to our community! Our goal is to have healthy, happy seniors and a self-sufficient community that meets the needs of its members. Sign up today to be a LAVA volunteer (LAVA application).

Reporting Volunteer Hours

If you are already a LAVA volunteer and would like to report your hours, there are several way you can do this. You can call them in (662-8923), or email them in (lava@losalamosseniorcenter.com) or print the form below and drop it by our office located at the BESC on the lower level. Please include the period of time for which you are reporting and the station, in addition to the total hours for each volunteer station

Intergenerational Volunteering

Although LAVA’s focus is on senior volunteers, volunteers of all ages are encouraged to volunteer with LAVA. There are many opportunities to engage with seniors, either volunteering alongside senior volunteers or helping seniors during special events or special programs such as Tech Tutoring with Teens.

For more information about LAVA’S programs please email or call (505) 662-8923.
